Like all the best innovations, the HANDY LINE was borne out of necessity.

Its creator, Patricia Roberts, was living in an apartment without a washing line and needed to use an electric dryer to dry washing.

"I've never liked using dryers because they are expensive to run, ruin clothes and because they use so much energy, are not environmentally friendly." says Patricia.

After searching in vain for a sturdy, lightweight fold-away washing line that could hold a full washing load and be used indoors and outdoors, Patricia decided to design one.

In 1995 Mrs Pegg's Products was established in Australia and the first design released was called HANDY LINE. Since then it has found its way into many thousands of homes worldwide.

Patricia did not rest there. She has continued to improve the design and operation of the line especially to improve its ease of use. This has led to the release of the exciting new model featured on this site.
